Match the instructions to the feeder in front of you. Nafnti models and batches can use different apps, so another owner's tutorial may describe a different setup. The app name alone also does not confirm the services available on your device.
Start with the device and supplied instructions
Find your feeder by photo to see its confirmed app and Wi-Fi support.
Keep the feeder, its packaging and the supplied setup card or manual together. Look for the model or configuration printed on them, then compare it with the guide you intend to follow. A listing title or similar-looking product photo is not enough to establish a match.
Use Manuals & downloads to browse existing model-based references. These historical guide editions do not establish which app or procedure applies to a current sales or shipping batch; match them to your exact unit and supplied instructions first.
If you already have a working setup, record the app name and version shown on your phone. Do not replace a working app simply because a newer tutorial names another one.
Compare the details before pairing
Check that the instructions describe your device, connection method and app. If the supplied instructions direct you to an app store listing, compare the app name and publisher with that listing before installing it. Use the manual's directions rather than a similarly named app found in a general search.
| Detail | What you need to establish |
|---|---|
| Device | The exact model or selected configuration, not only the product family |
| Instructions | Which guide applies to that unit; a manual revision date is not automatically its shipping batch |
| App | The app name, publisher and, for an existing setup, version |
| Phone | The phone system and compatibility stated for that app |
| Connection | The network requirements and pairing method for that configuration |
Color can help describe the unit when asking for help, but should not be the only basis for selecting a guide, app or Wi-Fi band.
When the label, manual and app do not agree
Pause the pairing steps and ask support to match the instructions to your unit. Do not guess a reset sequence, switch apps repeatedly, or apply another model's network requirements.
Prepare the model/configuration, the app name and version if installed, your phone system, and a short description of the mismatch. Photos of the model label and setup-card title can help. Share order or device-identifying details privately with support; leave passwords, pairing codes and account credentials out of public posts.
Use the Nafnti contact page to describe the mismatch and request the matching guide. This checklist does not establish subscription or storage entitlements; confirm those separately for your device configuration.
Once the guide matches
Work through the first-setup checklist, then test the intended location before permanent mounting. If you are still choosing a device, the buying worksheet helps organize the questions to resolve before checkout.
